Location:  Quincy, MA 2 days a week onsite

Duration: 10+ months

We are looking to fill the position with someone that has real experience with cloud solutions, particularly with IICS and Snowflake since the DW is moving towards that platform.

The other issue we have come across is several resumes we got were not local, must be local.

Client is currently seeking exceptional individuals to join the Data Warehouse team.  

We are seeking self starters who are highly motivated, efficient, professional, communicative and able to contribute to the team on day one.  Data Warehouse Developers performs analysis, design, code, and testing of moderate to extremely complex data extraction routines and report development.  Supports the Medicaid data warehouse systems, works on multiple assignments concurrently, and completes work in queue by aggressive due dates. Uses a range of expert technical skills based on a keen knowledge of data warehouse and must be highly proficient with Oracle SQL.   Helps identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. Regularly peer reviews the work of others and frequently mentors others.

DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions

Create data models and designs to meet specific business needs that require sourcing data from multiple source systems

Develop ETL /  ELT / Data pipelines that will extract data from an operational database and populate the staging and target data warehouse schemas

Document code and processes for distribution to all interested parties

Document design using industry standards

Provide query writing support and tuning expertise to analysts and end users

Develop shell scripts for production job automation

Work in a 24×7 environment which requires on-call rotation

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

3-5 years of experience in database development including analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing and implementing primarily SQL code

Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouse

Experience with system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery and networking

Medicaid or other healthcare or claims processing experience

Snowflake Data Warehouse experience

Informatica ETL experience

AWS (Cloud) Experience

Exadata Experience

Cognos 10.3 reporting experience

BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience

QUALIFICATIONS: (Special Skill Set, Knowledge, Certifications)

Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques, specifically dimensional data

Exceptional Oracle SQL skills

Hands on experience with set based operations, analytic functions and query hints

Command of data warehouse modeling concepts is required

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting
