We are seeking an experienced frontend engineer who enjoys building and maintaining large-scale single page applications to support the increasing number of educators using Lexia?s products.

In this role you will be responsible for designing and

developing new frontend reports, components, and tools for the MyLexia suite of

applications.  In addition to developing new features you will help with

modernizing the MyLexia application, with an emphasis on migrating from

AngularJS to Angular.  Backend experience is a plus, as you will have to

work closely with the backend (PHP + MySQL) to understand the flow of data.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer

looking to take the next step in their career.  This role will provide

many opportunities to gain leadership experience, including setting technical

direction, mentoring junior developers, and taking ownership of projects.

This position can be fully remote within the USA (EST

schedule preferred) or based out of our Concord, MA headquarters.

Job

Responsibilities:

Develop  new views and reports for the MyLexia suite of applications using Angular/AngularJS and Typescript.

Research, investigate, and implement approaches to migrate the main MyLexia application from AngularJS to a modern version of Angular.

Work closely with the product and design teams to understand specifications and plan development work.

Play   an active role in team development processes including standup, planning code review, and task refinement.

Share  technical expertise with fellow team members and mentor junior level  developers

Job Qualifications:

4+years of professional experience developing frontend applications.

Deep understanding of at least one Javascript framework (such as Angular   React, or Vue).

Experience building and maintaining Single Page Applications (SPAs).

Experience  with modern build tools (webpack, npm, yarn, grunt).

Strong command of HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Thorough understanding of RESTful web services and HTTP protocols.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Preferred Skills:

Strong command of Angular/AngularJS and/or Typescript.

Deep   knowledge of component based architecture and design principles.

Experience with one or more backend languages, such as PHP, Java, C#, or Python.

Experience working with one or more relational databases, such as MySQL or or SQL Server.

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
